Life Idea #48 - headteacher's blog

There are many ways of sharing news and engaging with your community both within school and wider.

Having a blog where the head teacher regularly posts updates about school successes, activities, student achievements and upcoming events gives this communication the personal touch.

To really make this work it's worth looking for opportunities to promote the blog offline, for instance by reading posts in assemblies, mentioning it in newsletters and even asking staff or students to be 'guest bloggers' from time to time.

To find out how to set this up for yourself and to see an example, click on the image below or visit www.thelifecloud.net/schools/LifeIdeas.

Engage directly with your school and wider community using a head teacher's blog. A Life Idea from Carlton Hill Primary, Brighton
