Becta publish Learning Platform Framework and UniServity tops the list
Friday December 22: Becta, the ICT arm, of the DfES today announced the publication the much awaited Learning Platform Procurement Framework. The Framework details a list of providers whom Local Authorities (LAs) can procure with confidence from.
The list of only nine learning platform providers, the UniServity Connected Learning Community being featured as one, has taken almost one year in its delivery as the process of evaluation has been thorough.
Alan Wood, managing director, UniServity, commented: “Although the process of being selected was lengthy and in-depth, I am delighted that we have exceeded all the mandatory standards set and are one of the chosen few.
“For UniServity, as the only UK learning platform provider, this means a great deal as it reassures our millions of users that the learning platform they have been using meets all relevant framework standards and is the recommended product of choice. Future users can also feel reassured that when deciding to procure a learning platform, they can reflect upon the Becta Framework and purchase with confidence.”
The UniServity Connected Learning Community (cLc) is helping teachers at schools around the world to develop innovative and collaborative approaches to teaching and learning that, in many cases, are producing deep and powerful learning outcomes.
This learning platform enables students to work autonomously; discuss their own ideas with each other as well as teachers; develop online portfolios either individually or collaboratively with other students and support enquiry-based approaches to teaching and learning.
UniServity is proud to be able to point at hundreds of real life examples of teachers and schools transforming and improving learning opportunities for their students.
