Managing change through transformative professional learning
"Educators will themselves be able to participate in "communities of learning and inquiry, as co-learners and researchers, with students, colleagues and other experts to ensure their own development and professional learning as both accomplished education professionals and content experts." Texas "Long Range Plan for Technology, 2006 - 2020"

UniServity cLc - repositioning teachers as learners
The UniServity cLc supports schools and districts in repositioning teachers as learners, co-learners and researchers who are able to work with experts, colleagues, parents and students to manage their own development and professional learning as experienced education professionals in safe and secure user-relevant communities, equipped with the C21st technologies, tools and opportunities required to engage in continuous authentic professional learning.

Taking teachers beyond the confines of the traditional classroom
Access to the cLc's comprehensive suite of C21st tools, the capacity to create, manage and connect additional communities along with the ability to safely integrate commonly used open source Web 2.0 for their own learning affords educators the skills, knowledge and opportunities to safely rehearse and develop their skills in integrating Web 2.0 technologies into user relevant areas of the curriculum, taking teachers beyond the confines of the traditional classroom and the limitations of traditional Professional Development.

District wide implementation
Curriculum, professional and pedagogical expertise, direct intervention and innovative projects can be strategically and efficiently targeted across a district in addition to teacher initiated authentic action research, inquiry and development; with the outcomes of interventions visible by all relevant members of the community, including students and parents where applicable.

Communities of practice
Using the cLc to connect schools within a district allows teachers to be safely connected in secure communities of practice (E.g. Teachers of Gifted and Talented students, Language Arts Teachers, Librarians, Principals etc...) These communities can be used to transmit synchronous and asynchronous professional development opportunities in the form of courses, presentations, master-classes or workshops. They can also be used to support resource sharing, collaborative planning, moderation of standards, action research, transmission of best practice, communication of ideas and peer support. Every community member benefits from the collective expertise within the group.

The UniServity Roadmap to Success
Professional and curriculum support for your implementation. In addition to providing the cLc learning environment, UniServity has developed an award winning effective implementation approach and a range of bespoke professional services focused on managing systemic change in schools; supporting them in their journey to become 21st century centers of innovative teaching and learning. Our programs have been distilled from direct working relationships with school and district leaders and educators and thousands of on-site school visits. This approach includes a framework and consultancy model, the "Roadmap to Success", which supports school and district leadership teams in effective transformational implementation of our cLc Learning Platform in line with the broad curriculum and State standards. A key feature of this offering is "The Learning Matrix" which maps pedagogy and school improvement issues onto the Learning Platform. Progression through the Roadmap supports teachers in developing from Early or developing Tech on the Texas Teacher STaR Chart to Advanced or Target Tech.
